Contents Unlimited by Swastik Laminates is a renowned brand for some of the most extra-ordinary laminates, veneers, and wood flooring.  With its presence in 68 cities and towns across India and 40 plus years of servicing renowned designers, popular architects, and numerous revered customers, we have covered miles and miles in our journey so far!

So, we wish to pause, rewind a little, fast forward a little more and tell you all the mysteries, little-known facts, and the stories behind why we are where we are. We will also let you know the broader road map we have followed and reveal to you what our true north has been in our journey throughout.

And this we wish to do so that we can get a little closer to you. When you know our story, you will also know how your story can be made better with us.  

Without further ado, let us get in conversation with Mr. Dainik Gada, one of our co-founders who shares a relentless passion for his work and is driven by innovation, creativity, and customer happiness!

Q. Hey, Dainik! 40 years, 68 cities and counting and thousands of spaces built, beautified, and blossomed with Swastik Laminates and then Contents Unlimited. What has been the journey in a nutshell?

The journey has been incredibly beautiful and full of learning. We started with laminates and gradually, built our base with veneers and wood flooring. The last 10 years of Contents Unlimited have given us so much confidence and support from our dealers, designers, architects, and customers that we have always felt inspired to take the next leap with full gusto!

Q. Contents Unlimited was launched around 10 years back but Swastik Laminates has been in operation for 40 plus years. What led you to venture out with a new name and new identity?  

So, as I said Swastik Laminates predominantly supplied laminates. But the relationship we shared with our dealers, our professional network, and in-house management has been so supportive that we felt encouraged to have our brand to offer a limitless choice for designers and end customers. That’s the story behind ‘Contents Unlimited’.

Q. Dainik, we make sure that our products stand out from the crowd. We also ascertain that our customers get a feel of having their own distinct identity revealed through their spaces. But, how do we do that?

Okay. So, our main focus at Contents Unlimited has always been innovation.  We don’t fear failure. We are always up for something new.

Also, the core belief is in selling not just the product but the experiences associated with the products. Our attempt has always been to give a fine taste to the interior so that those who will inhabit or work there have a special bond with that space.

We interact with interior designers, architects, our dealers, industry manufacturers, and the entire network of people associated with our products. Contents Unlimited also believes in understanding cross-industry trends to see how we can blend our products with complementary products such as tiles say for example.

This helps in having a sense of harmony in the overall décor and taste for the customer. Also, we visit a lot of exhibitions nationally and internationally so that our business follows the best practices and the best standards globally.

Q. Across the length and the breadth of this voyage, what has changed and what hasn’t?

Well, what hasn’t changed is our sense of business ethics. That is something we hold great value for. It’s a legacy for us – something passed down through the generations.

About what has changed – a lot!

The market has evolved tremendously. In the olden times, you could see customers coming for wood-based designs but today’s market is far more experimentative. They are willing to give new colors, patterns a try. There is an acceptance of new designs and new products. The number of application areas has increased too. For example, laminates earlier were only used for cabinets and wardrobes but now they are used for paneling, partition, and swings to name a few.

Q. True, so with fast-changing trends, new additions of colors, patterns, and combinations pouring; what has been our true north? What is that one thing which we are guided through and through – something that remains an absolute essential to us?

Genuine true practices – these three words are our true north.

We never compensate for quality. That’s the core value that we always abide by.

Q. Given the roadmap and our true north Dainik, where do you think we are headed? What’s our broader vision for the future? And how are we gearing up to achieve it?

Our broader vision is to increase our market presence and keep improving our product variety.  With faster delivery schedules, better customer satisfaction, and a constant endeavor for excellence, we are gearing up for this vision. And we are highly optimistic about our results.
